ROLLING STONE: House Rep. Lauren Boebert participated in multiple planning meetings with organizers of Jan. 6 insurrection

Oct. 24 Rolling Stone article says Boebert participated in planning Jan. 6th events at the U.S. Capitol

According to an exclusive article published in Rolling Stone magazine October 24, 2021, two people who helped plan and organize the violent January 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, and who have already spoken to the House Select Committee investigating the insurrection, have named members of Congress involved in planning the attack.

One of them was CD-3 House Representative Lauren Boebert, who represents Colorado’s western slope.

According to Rolling Stone, the planners allege that “multiple members of Congress were intimately involved in planning both Trump’s efforts to overturn his election loss and the Jan. 6 events that turned violent.”

Along with Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Georgia), the planners say House members who either personally joined in conversations to organize the event, or had their top staffers join in the conversations, included Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).

One of the organizers told Rolling Stone that “We would talk to Boebert’s team, Cawthorn’s team, Gosar’s team like back to back to back to back.”

Rolling Stone says it “separately obtained documentary evidence that both sources were in contact with Gosar and Boebert on Jan. 6,” but says “We are not describing the nature of that evidence to preserve [the anonymity of the planners].”

The two planners pointed to the archived website of WildProtest.com, an event that took place January 6th at the Capitol that was aimed at stopping Congress from certifying the Electoral College results, to show that Boebert was listed as a featured speaker at the event. The website of WildProtest.com displays the hashtags “#DoNotCertify,” “#Jan6,” “#StopTheSteal” and “#WildProtest” at the top of the page.

  1. Madison Cawthorn is not a vet. He is not qualified to take a sh#t. He gets the sympathy vote. He is a violent arrogant ignorant little boy. Madison has never had anything to do with the US army, though most republicans think he personally took out Saddam.

  2. Lauren Boebert needs to be expelled from Congress. I took an oath to uphold the Constitution when I immigrated to this country and it’s infuriating to see elected members of Congress blatantly violating their oaths. Given that the Republican Party has turned into an anti-democratic movement, it would be an actual miracle if they took that step to expel these seven members of Congress who participated in the Jan. 6 planning meetings. In the meantime, I’ve already stopped supporting local businesses that support the insurrectionists (your reporting on the June fundraiser was helpful here – thank you) and I hope others will follow suit.
