Trump vowed to expel violent criminals, but instead he has brought a vicious triple-murderer back to the U.S. and set him free here.
Convicted felon, adjudicated sexual abuser and President Trump had a convicted triple murderer brought back to the U.S. from Venezuela and set him free as part of a prisoner swap with Venezuela. Trump agreed to send to Venezuela over 250 Venezuelan men whom he had had kidnapped in the U.S. and sent to a prison in El Salvador without any due process earlier this year in exchange Venezuela freeing 10 Americans who were supposedly political prisoners in Venezuela.
One of the imprisoned Americans Trump brought back to the U.S. from Venezuela, though, is Dahud Hanid Ortiz, a dual American/Venezuelan national who was tried and convicted in Venezuela of murdering three people in a lawyer’s office in Spain in 2016. Spain had tried to have Ortiz extradited for trial, but the Venezuelan constitution prohibits extradition, so Ortiz was tried, convicted and imprisoned in Venezuela in 2023-24. Ortiz was serving a 30 year sentence in Venezuela for the murders.
Ortiz’s murders were violent. He killed one of his three victims — a woman — using a large knife or machete. He bludgeoned his second and third victims to death, a man and a woman, with an iron bar. After killing his three victims, Ortiz set the lawyer’s office on fire to try to cover up his crimes. He then fled to Germany, and then finally to Venezuela, where he lived using false identities and speaking in multiple languages to keep from being discovered and arrested. Mr. Ortiz confessed to the murders in an email he had sent to his wife’s sister.
The U.S. freed Ortiz from prison in Venezuela, and flew him to Texas where he was set free.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who approved the swap, said “Every wrongfully detained American in Venezuela is now free and back in our homeland.”
Víctor Yoel Salas Cobeñas, the Madrid-based attorney whose office Ortiz attacked, said,
“Dahud Hanid Ortiz was never a political prisoner. He was a convicted and sentenced murderer. The court documents make that absolutely clear.”
The German police consider Ortiz to be a highly dangerous person.

Trump’s mass deportation agenda is a sick joke. While they bring BACK violent criminals, ICE is terrorizing US citizens, and immigrants of all statuses, claiming they are getting the “worst of the worst” out, while only 6% of immigrant murderers have been detained and deported.
And ICE is emboldened now by big salaries and bonuses. They will continue to terrorize people here because they are incentivized by $$$$$. They will ruin what is great about this country so that they can remodel their kitchen or buy a new car.
Let’s send him to the White House for a visit.
He’ll only be arrested by ICE if he goes to work at a Home Deport. Otherwise, he’s good.
