If you’re hungering for another opportunity to protest Trump’s authoritarian takeover of the country, Montrose and Ouray County Indivisible groups are hosting a “Fight the Trump Takeover” protest on Saturday, August 23 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the south City Market in Montrose located at 16400 S. Townsend Ave.

“Let’s keep the pressure on! The MAGA regime wants to force the military within our borders, directly threatening our families and communities. We must join together to #FreeAmerica from this assault to make this a place of liberty and justice for all, no exceptions. Families are joining together to #FreeAmerica, demanding our leaders stop this assault on our freedoms, our families, and our futures.
Our goal is to bring awareness that NO one should have the power to turn our government into a weapon against our people! (the streets of Washington D.C., L.A., gerrymandering in Texas). The MAGA regime is once again stoking violence against our families and our communities, in order to advance their agenda of abductions and intimidation, violating our freedoms and our right to equality under the law. We must choose words that make clear exactly what is at stake, exposing the motivations of the MAGA regime and generating the will to be in continuous opposition to it.”
