Election liar Douglas Frank, who influenced Tina Peters to compromise Mesa County’s election equipment, to speak in Delta County

A man considered to be the “Johnny Appleseed” of spreading lies nationally about fraud in the 2020 election is scheduled to give two public talks in Delta County, one of which will be — of all places — in Paonia K-8 School, a public elementary school.

Former Ohio math teacher Douglas Frank has travelled the country promoting a wacky equation he came up with that he says proves “just about every county” in the entire country “was hacked” in the 2020 election. He has been funded by My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell to promote allegations of election fraud nationwide.

The notion that widespread fraud pervaded the 2020 election has been debunked many times over.

Douglas Frank gave a talk at a Grand Junction hotel on April 23, 2021 that was key in convincing former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, Tina’s friend and co-conspirator Sherronna Bishop and others to carry out the election equipment hacking/identity theft scheme that led Tina to be sentenced to prison for nine years.

Despite his election fraud claims having long been thoroughly debunked, Frank is still traveling the country promoting election lies. He spoke locally on July 14, 2025 at a meeting of the right wing extremist group “Stand for the Constitution” at Appleton Christian Church.

Now he will appear at a public school in Paonia, a place of learning that is supposed to teach the truth.  In Delta County, they apparently have no qualms about using public schools as venues to spread lies.
