It’s short notice, but this is a moral and national emergency. The 50501 Movement, which fights to uphold the Constitution and put an end to Trump’s extreme executive overreach, is organizing an “ICE Out of Everywhere” National Day of Action on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Grand Junction in front of the VA Hospital on North Ave. at 23rd Street. The protest came about after federal agents shot and killed two people so far this month in Minneapolis. 50501 is inviting people to join the January 31 protests in cities across all 50 states.
50501’s impromptu Saturday protest joins the regular Saturday afternoon protests held by Stand with Veterans at the same time and place every Saturday, so will augment the ongoing efforts of that group.
All western slope residents who are disgusted with Trump turning loose aggressive, masked, armed, unaccountable federal agents in cities in Democratic states to terrorize citizens are urged to attend. Bring signs and noise-making devices.

I hope you can go. I have to work. Too late of notice for me them to change the schedule. I’m with you in spirit. I will put my no Kings yard signs out.
Thanks for all who will be out there. Be careful.
Please don’t block the hospital entrances. My husband is going in for something and I’d like to be able to visit him. He served this country in a combat zone years ago.
We walk every Saturday at 1:00 on the North Avenue sidewalk and do not block the entrances or use the parking lot. We love our Veterans and are there to make sure to support their continued care. Thanks to your husband for his service. We are a group called Stand With Veterans and many of us have close ties to the Veterans Community, or are Veterans, and do not want their benefits to be impacted in any way by what is happening by the current administration.
