CCA is lending out devices called Airthings Corentium digital radon monitors. They will loan them out for up to three weeks at a time. The monitors are about the size of a cell phone, but thicker, and are very easy to use.

As an alternative, you can also contact the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, which is offering free radon test kits while they last: https://cdphe.colorado.gov/hm/radon
Radon gas is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers and is prevalent in high levels throughout Colorado and six other states in the U.S.
ALL homes, old and new, should be tested if radon gas levels are unknown.
CCA orders their testing equipment online through Airthings.com. Each Corentium radon gas monitoring unit costs $150.00, plus shipping and tax. CCA is only able to lend these out at no charge to the community because of the generosity of their donors.
CCA thanks everyone who donated to them throughout 2025 to help advance the cause of safe and clean air.
If you’d like to become a member of CCA, attend their meetings or donate to the group to help advance their work, go to this link.
