Convicted felon/sexual abuser/President Trump has filled the official White House website on 1/6/25 with lies about the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol how it unfolded and who is to blame. Trump is using the site to attempt to re-write the history of the event and completely eliminate his part in causing it.
Trump blames the insurrection on then House-speaker Nancy Pelosi for causing “catastrophic failures in security” and says Democrats “masterfully reversed reality after January 6, branding peaceful patriotic protesters as ‘insurrectionists’ and framing the event as a violent coup attempt orchestrated by Trump — despite no evidence of armed rebellion or intent to overthrow the government.” He accuses Democrats of “undermining democracy.” He says Democrats “staged the real insurrection by certifying a fraud-ridden election.”
The word “peaceful” appears on the page 13 times, with Trump describing the rioters as “peaceful, patriotic protesters.”
The lies are so blatant that it is hard to believe the site is real and not a parody.
