The next Grand Junction No Kings protest will be Saturday, October 18, 2025, starting at 12:00 noon, meeting downtown at First and Main. The route will be around downtown. The event is being organized by Indivisible Grand Junction, which is seeking volunteers to serve as marshals to help protesters safely cross streets.
In a September 12, email, Indivisible’s national event organizers wrote in part,
“Trump keeps doubling down — stoking division and anger, building a secret police force, sending the military into our streets, trying to rig the midterms, and suggesting (twice) that ‘maybe we’d like a dictator.’ That’s not the behavior of the president. That’s the behavior of a wannabe-king…As Trump’s regime escalates his authoritarian power grab, we’re gathering again on October 18 for a nationwide day of peaceful protests to say NO KINGS.”
In a September 2, Facebook post, Indivisible wrote,
“Abducting immigrants, deploying troops in our streets, rigging maps to silence voters, defying the courts — we’re witnessing a dictatorship in action. But standing up to wannabe kings is part of our DNA. Millions of Americans will march again on October 18 because this is the essence of patriotism. Every time Trump’s regime chips away at our freedoms, the NO KINGS movement grows stronger. Our country doesn’t belong to rulers or billionaires. It still belongs to We The People, and we will defend our democracy. We hope to see you in the streets on October 18 for nationwide peaceful protests…”
