A group of area residents are planning to gather at CD-3 House Rep. Jeff Hurd’s Grand Junction Office on Friday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. to support Renee Nicole Good, 37, who was murdered today by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
Hurd’s office is located at 743 Horizon Drive, Suite 112.
Anyone upset by this incident is invited to come and join the gathering. People are asked to wear black and bring signs. The event is not specific to any group but “just a bunch of people from various groups” who are inviting anyone upset by this incident and convicted felon/President Trump’s aggressive and harmful immigration policies to come out and join them to protest this ICE killing.
Good’s killing was caught on video by a bystander. Video of the shocking incident spread quickly nationwide.
Good was a U.S. citizen, had 3 children and, according to her mother, was not part of any ICE protest groups.

The fervent hope of Epstein-Trump, Stphen Miller, and Kristi Noem is that their crimes, such as shooting Ms. Good, and taking children from families, will result in sufficient anger, with property damage and struggles with “the cops,” that they can call “riot!”, and stir up their base.
Chaos is their tool. We’re in a bind: protest vigorously, but don’t let “them” stir up violence.
Tomorrow, Hurd’s office, bring signs, chill.
