Alpine Food Truck owner Dave Corboy to hold “Ballots & Beers” event in Palisade Thurs., 10/8, 5-8 p.m.

Several people have brought the following event to my attention:

The event is being put on by front range plant-based food truck Alpine Eatery owner David Corboy, who has drawn a huge following for being publicly and ardently political in his Instagram and TikTok posts mostly made inside his food truck.

Carboy  educates people about dark money front groups like Advance Colorado and strongly and often profanely condemns current U.S. politics under Donald Trump. Here’s an example:

You can see all of his Instagram posts here.

Corboy invited his followers to an event in Denver he called Ballots and Beers to discuss the ballot and how to vote. He expected couple of hundred people to show up. Instead, thousands of people showed up from around the country and state representing every age, race and sexual orientation. Candidates for office and several media outlets also attended. Recognizing his success, Corboy is holding more of these events in hopes that they will help help swing the election.

His posts have gone viral and his following has grown exponentially, and now he is coming to the western slope (without his food truck) because he doesn’t want people here to think they’ve been forgotten or left out of the discussions. Here is his Instagram post about his event here:

Short notice, but sounds like it could be quite an event.
