Rowland losing commissioner race to JJ Fletcher by a wide margin in preliminary results in Republican primary election

This was the unofficial result as of 8:40 p.m. on election night. It changed little in the two hours after that. County residents seem to have developed a case of Janet fatigue.

Janet Rowland appears to have worn our her welcome as Mesa County Commissioner in the 2024 primary election. Preliminary results at 8:40 p.m. showed her losing to JJ Fletcher by about 10 percentage points, with the result unchanged in the hours after that.

Soon to be former Mesa County Commissioner Janet Rowland

  1. The silence from the County Commissioners leading up to this election was deafening. Moreover, these primary results prove their petty ideological battles have squandered all their credibility even among their own fellows MAGAts…plus they’ve galvanized a greater nonpartisan demographic who were appalled by Janet’s crazed crusade against the Health Dept. I’m certain that dullard Crony Davis is starting to sweat right about now as well, along with Rowlands’ corrupt coconspirator/consigliere/lawyer. The worm has certainly turned for this whole rotten CC bunch and can’t wait for November..

  2. JJ Fletcher got more votes than any other candidate on the GOP ballot in Mesa County. About 5,000 more. That tells me that the unaffiliated voter came out against Rowland.
