This fascinating interactive map from the Washington Post shows a surprising number of people in our area are Harris supporters, and that Mesa County has continued to trend more “blue” politically since 2020.
The map shows the number of individuals who have donated to the Biden/Harris and Trump campaigns so far in the 2024 presidential race. The data was updated as of October 24, 2024 and is broken down by ZIP code, allowing the viewer to enter their ZIP code and see their own and surrounding areas.
WaPo’s online map is here. If I missed your ZIP code in the video, you can go to the map and enter your ZIP code and see how things look in your neighborhood. You can also zoom out and look at other areas of the country. At least I hope you can, and that it’s not behind a paywall.
The data shows that the more densely populated areas of Mesa County have turned “bluer” since 2020, at least with with respect to this upcoming existential U.S. 2024 presidential race.
The only thing this indicates is that Republicans are cheap.
You predicted a mistrial for Tina, so I might polish my crystal ball were I you, Hare-Bear. But then, prognostication is a mugs game.
Cheap, Lazy, and Stupid. All lofty compliments for you and your Republican ilk. More appropriately this can be considered a heatmap of Moral Bankruptcy.
These maps are a pleasant surprise! I’ve thought I was hunkered down in a dark red part of the state, but I can see that’s not so. Thank you for posting them.
Great job Anne. It is really appreciated. I didn’t see anything for 81523 and I know there were donors in GP. Would love to know those numbers. Don’t know if Vote Vet contributions were included.
Hi Diana, I checked into the results for the 81523 ZIP code and found 18 donors to the Biden/Harris campaign and 27 donors to Trump’s campaign, but the amount of money donated to each campaign was dead even at $3k each.
Not paywalled, not sure I saw your video, but this map is incredible. Very rural (and Delta of course) still pro trump but semi-and urban hardly not at all. Look at Montrose, that’s a wow – but you know what else is? Salt Lake City! In fact hate to say it, that’s almost too hard to believe.
