Nationwide NO KINGS 2.0 Protest is this Saturday, 10/18 @ noon, Main & Spruce

Indivisible Grand Junction just issued the following update via email:

————————————–

“This isn’t just a statement: It’s action.

Join the NATIONWIDE PROTEST this Saturday at Noon.

No Kings is about defending democracy at its roots, and it begins at home. For the People, by the People. So let’s march, let’s vote. Let’s build something better, starting right here at home.

Side by side, we’ll march in protest of a dangerous, incompetent administration, and submit our D51 school board election ballots. Bring your completed ballot and let’s vote together for the kind of community we all deserve.

This is bigger than political disagreement. The administration has defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services—all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their billionaire allies. Enough is enough. For anyone who thinks they’ve gone too far, this movement is for you.

That’s why we say: OUR VOICES, OUR VOTE, OUR HOME!

Come ready to march! Park early, bring water & positive energy, and listen to Organizers & Peace Team. (Those not marching can stay at Main & Spruce). Our last No Kings event saw 3,500 people in GJ and millions nationwide. Let’s blow that number away – spread the word & bring friends!

No Kings events are peaceful, non-violent action. Remember: the goal is number of people, not level of anger. Please review protest safety below.

Bring your completed ballot, all your friends, & positive energy! We are so excited to elevate our voices together as a community.”

Indivisible G.J. also included the following Voter Guide for the Nov. 4 election:
