Womens March is running this anti-ICE ad in places where ICE agents are active & DHS is actively recruiting

The Womens March is running the above 60-second ad called “Dear ICE Agents: What will you say?,” on TV, cable, streaming services including Hulu, Peacock and digital platforms in locations where Immigrationsand Customs Enforcement (ICE) is targeting people the hardest, including in Charlotte, NC, Chicago and in Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump himself might see it.

The idea is to counter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem’s aggressive national recruitment commercials (pdf) and promised incentives like $50,000 cash bonuses at signing, student loan forgiveness, a minimum age of 18 and overtime pay. A recent Department of Homeland Security post on Twitter/X shows a drawing of Uncle Sam at a crossroads sign and featuring the caption “Which way, American Man?,” apparently in reference to a 1978 white nationalist book of that name by William Gayley Simpson that was published by the National Alliance, a neo-Nazi hate group:

DHS twitter/X post that links immigration with “invasion” and “cultural decline” and a caption that references a book published by the white nationalist group the National Alliance

The Womens March is seeking donations to push the ad further into the U.S.

  1. I thank women’s march for taking a crack at this, but

I can t help but wonder what messaging will effectively counter the $50k signing bonus.
Do 18 yr old kids relate to this to a father’s dilema?
