Restore the Balance (RTB) is a 501(C)(4) non-profit organization based in Grand Junction made up of registered Democrats, Republicans and Independents who are working together to build an alternative to political extremism, which has been on the rise since 2016, and which has been coarsening civil discourse and inflaming divisions in politics locally, statewide and nationally.
At election time, RTB sends questionnaires to candidates on the local ballot and then rates their responses with an eye towards maximizing the competence of, and decreasing extremism among people holding public office.

Candidates fail to respond to RTB’s questionnaire at all automatically got a zero rating.
