Above this post is a tweet that the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, actually posted this morning at 9:34 a.m. east coast time.
President Trump posted this tweet as thousands of Americans across the country are dying from a deadly Coronavirus pandemic with no end in sight. He posted this amid anguished cries from the governors of all 50 states and territories that their hospitals are lacking enough basic necessities, like beds, ventilators, medication and personal protective equipment, to treat the onslaught of Coronavirus victims arriving at their doors. Trump posted this shortly after a makeshift intensive care ward was constructed in New York’s Central Park to accommodate the huge number of sick people pouring into hospitals. Trump posted this as the pandemic has almost completely disabled not just America’s economy, but the world economy.
Trump posted this on a morning when America’s national news headlines read:

Not one single Republican has stepped up to condemn the president’s behavior amid this pandemic.
We thought it was bad when Republicans failed to remove this dangerous man, Mr. Trump, from the presidency in the impeachment trial earlier this year, but little did they know how much death and destruction his ignorance, narcissism and ineptitude would actually cause the people of this country.
Let this moment will go down in history as the Republican Party’s biggest shame.
And let’s hope no Republican ever holds office again. Ever.
It feels like long past the time that we should quit using the word ‘administration’ and instead use ‘regime’. The Donald needs to be denied press coverage by the ‘fake media’, not just when he is using it to campaign, but altogether. All he has ever cared about are money and fame. He will find a way, right or wrong, to get the money but he can be denied the fame.
Many supporters of the president have cultist cultist characteristics. Others, like Cory Gardner and Scott Tipton share greed and political ambition and betray Coloradans with their lockstep enabling of the current unfit president.
They can’t be easily swayed. We must work to motivate independent voters to cast their votes to remove these Banana Republicans from office.
Trumps only honest remark this week; According to Donald Trump, making sure people can vote is “crazy.” He then added that if we took these kinds of steps and provided adequate funding, “you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.” He said the quiet part out loud.
The pandemic crisis has highlighted President’s worst character traits and impulses. He has shown himself to be erratic, impulsive, narcissistic, vindictive, cruel, mendacious, and devoid of empathy. Washington Post’s Perspective title got it right: “Trump has handled the coronavirus the way he handles everything: Like a toddler.”
It’s not just what he hasn’t done. It’s also the barriers he has put in place . . . like telling Azar he didn’t need $2Billion in equipment, only $500Million; or sending masks and equipment to China two days later, or forcing States to compete with each other for supplies, or confiscating State orders of PPE under federal authority so it can be turned over to private corporate “distributors”; or giving Red States preferential treatment over those that lean blue; and on and on and on . . . .
The Trump Administration is a good example of all that is wrong with the Republican’s devotion to hamstringing the federal government in favor of States’ rights, privatization of public works and unregulated capitalism.
Democratic socialism is looking really attractive right now.
To all his supporters. This is why you don’t elect someone because you don’t want the other person to win. This buffoon has no redeeming qualities of any type, let alone leadership ideals that could lead us through any situation big or small. You get what you pay for.
