A top Trump nominee is out after getting caught telling the truth. Colorado’s Kathleen Sgamma was to head the BLM. She had decades of oil and gas advocacy and helped write Project 2025. But then a 2021 memo came out where she criticized President Trump for his election rigging lies.

Kathleen Sgamma, President of the Colorado-based Western Energy Alliance, had her name withdrawn from consideration to be the next head of the Bureau of Land Management after the Trump administration discovered that on January 7, 2021 she sent a memo to oil and gas executives in which she sharply criticized Trump’s behavior and involvement in the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Sgamma wrote she was “disgusted” by Trump “spreading misinformation” on January 6 and “dishonoring the vote of the People”:

  1. And why would she accept a job serving a president she clearly disrespects?
    Blind ambition?
    Too bad for her.

  2. Maybe she got booted because she was part of Project 2025.
It’s so unusual for presidents to pick people who support him.
I’m surprised this got by the nominating committee.

    Heads are likely to roll.
