Tina Peters remains defiant, and does not now, and has NEVER shown a hint of remorse for her crimes

Tina Peters’ most recent prison mugshot (April, 2025). She is currently in the La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo, CO

As word continues circulating about the possibility that Colorado Governor Polis might granting clemency in some form to former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, a look at the most recent posts on Tina’s social media accounts shows that not only does Tina have zero remorse about the crimes she committed that put her in prison, but they also show that not only does Tina remain 100% defiant about all of her crimes, but that she even takes great pride in them.

There is not one post in any of her social media content in which she expresses even a shred of remorse or contrition for breaking the law, for costing Mesa County taxpayers millions unnecessarily, for forcing Mesa County residents to have to endure years of her false claims about the integrity of our elections, her narcissism or the embarrassment she has brought to Mesa County nationally for her crazy claims. She never apologized to her co-workers for lying to them or dragging them through the mud. She never apologized Mesa County voters for losing, then finding and then refusing to count 574 of their legally-cast ballots. She has never demonstrated that she’s had even a single thought over all these years about how her actions have negatively impacted so many other people.

As a state prisoner, Tina is not permitted direct access to the internet, but she can give messages to friends or proxies who can post them on her social media accounts for her. That appears to be what is happening, as even from prison, her social media accounts remain active and up to date.

In the description at the top of Tina’s X/Twitter account page, Tina boasts about having seven felony and five misdemeanor convictions. As of March 1, 2026 the first post at the top of her account claims without proof that Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold “deleted election records,” and adds, “They cheat and Tina Peters caught them”:

As of today, April 10, 2026, Tina’s web page, TinaPeters.us, claims she is a “political prisoner.” She also claims to be a widow (“who  has been “silenced for standing for truth”), but in keeping with her longstanding method of operation in how she extracts donations from people, she is spinning the widow claim to generate sympathy among her followers.

Tina is not actually a widow. She filed to end her marriage to her husband, Thomas, on October 19, 2017, and even created a dating profile on Match.com in 2020 claiming she was “no drama.” Tina and her husband were officially divorced in November, 2021. Thomas Peters died on December 31, 2023. Legally you can’t be considered a widow if you were already divorced when your ex-husband dies.

Tina still sees herself as unfairly persecuted and is still soliciting donations through her website TinaPeters.us
As recently as 10 days ago, Tina maintained that per perception of voter fraud continues in this post on her Rumble account

A 9/25/25 post on Tina Peters’ Rumble account defiantly depicts Mesa County District Attorney Dan Rubinstein behind bars.
A post on Tina’s Rumble account from November, 2025, puts a religious spin on her zeal in proclaiming fraud in the 2020 election and claims there is proof that shows “TINA PETERS WAS RIGHT”

Tina’s website on April 10, 2026 says Tina Peters is going to “Save America,” reiterates that she is a “political prisoner” and indicates she still believes she “served with integrity”

Tina denies having done anything illegal.

Tina deserves no sympathy from the public, the courts, or anyone else, and she certainly doesn’t deserve a shorter sentence. Judge Barrett was right when he concluded that Tina poses a danger to society, and would continue to do so.  Her public statements posted on the internet since she entered prison verify that same exact conclusion.

  1. Tina’s incessant whiny posts about “censorship” remind me of the old Tom Lehrer joke: “If a person feels he can’t communicate, the least he can do is shut up about it.”
