Documenting Nazis in Grand Junction

We have previously discussed the presence of Neo Nazis and White supremacists in Grand Junction.

White supremacists are increasingly out and proud in our area, emboldened by Trump’s hard line stances against immigrants, his racist social media posts, rollback of civil and human rights, his dismantling of policies that are more inclusive of people of different races, his open use of hateful, xenophobic language, and his refusal to condemn White supremacist marches, including the “Unite the Right” White  rally in Charlottesville in 2017 and the hundreds of masked Patriot Front members who marched through Washington, D.C. carrying confederate flags on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Members of the Patriot Front held military-style training drills in Canyon View Park in Grand Junction on October 10, 2021. One of the drill participants was William Planer, a violent neo-Nazi well known to law enforcement who was arrested in 2016 in connection with a violent riot outside California’s Capitol in Sacramento. He hadvbeen involved in incidents in which anti-racists were beaten and stabbed.

Under current Colorado Mesa University (CMU) President John Marshall, CMU even welcomed White supremacist Jared Taylor as a legitimate speaker on campus in March, 2025, leading to charges that CMU fosters a climate of hate on campus.

The openly Nazi biker above was spotted heading south on First Street at North Ave. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 8:56 a.m.  His helmet displayed a clear Nazi “SS” insignia and a confederate flag, meant to be seen by anyone behind him and widely recognized as a symbol of racism and a defense of slavery.

Even the “Black Belt Surfing” shirt the biker wore has links to Nazis and White supremacy:

If you spot White supremacist or Nazi-related activity in western Colorado, including on the CMU campus, please record the time and place, and a description of the activity and report it to this blog so we can document it.
