Tina Peters scandal gets 9 minute segment on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show

The antics of crazy Republican Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters and her loony-tune election conspiracy scandal earned a 9 minute-long segment on MSNBC’s nationally-broadcast cable TV program The Rachel Maddow Show yesterday, November  17, 2021.

The Rachel Maddow Show is the most-watched cable news show in the country.

Maddow discusses Peters’ relationship with Mike Lindell, the “My Pillow Guy,” House Rep. Lauren Boebert’s former campaign manager, the FBI raid of her and others’ homes on 11/16, and more.

Maddow said the story of the Mesa County Clerk, which began as a very small and awkward story, has “metastasized and become very serious” and even “riveting” in how it has unfolded.

Maddow begins by talking about Lindell’s August “cyber-symposium” in South Dakota, how Clerk Tina Peters attended the “symposium” and how Mesa County’s stolen election equipment information, which Peters was supposed to have kept secure as part of her job, was cavalierly circulated to the participants there on thumb drives.

Maddow starts talking specifically about Tina Peters at about 1:50 into the piece.

At one point, Maddow says:

Of all the election conspiracies and fake election audits, and the ‘Stop-the-Steal’ stuff that we have covered on this show. … this one might be the wildest, most bizarre story of them all, and it seems like the first one that has resulted in an FBI raid on at least four sites in a single state. …[It] appears to be a quite serious federal state and local investigation into what these folks are up to.”

Tina Peters is certainly putting Mesa County on the national map, but not in a good way. She’s putting us on the map as Crazy Central for election disinformation wackos.
