Marshall Zelinger of 9News’ Next with Kyle Clark reported on Friday, October 6, 2023 that an administrative law judge has fined Republican former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters $15,400 for soliciting donations to run for re-election as Mesa County Clerk without having first filed the necessary paperwork with the state that requires she report all the money she raised and spent on her campaign. The $15.4k fine pertains to Tina’s campaign for Clerk that she dropped out of in 2022 to run for Colorado Secretary of State instead.

  1. Just another ignorant and deplorable put in office by a voter base of the Mesa county Republicans who really need to have an IQ test done prior to being allowed to vote. Hopefully she will serve out the last remaining years of her life in an orange jumpsuit in jail!

  2. The first rule of holes: If you are in one, stop digging deeper. Tina so reminds me of those televangelist types, send me your money now. Meanwhile, Mesa County Republicans are having to eat crow while singing, Oops, we did it again, we elected another nut job based on party instead of qualifications.

  3. Details…details. Ms. Teters failed to count my vote when she neglected to have the drop-off box checked. Her response: “those votes weren’t enough to make a difference anyway.” Never again will I cast all my votes for a slacker such as she has proven herself to be!”
